Halal lamb refers to lamb meat that is prepared and processed in accordance with Islamic dietary laws outlined in the Quran. The term “Halal” means permissible in Arabic, and in the context of lamb, it involves following specific guidelines for slaughtering the animal. The slaughter, known as “Zabiha” or “Dhabiha,” is carried out by a Muslim butcher in accordance with Islamic rituals, including a swift and humane method of cutting the throat to allow the blood to drain. Additionally, Halal lamb must be free from certain impurities. This process ensures that the lamb meat is considered permissible (halal) for consumption by followers of Islam.
